(Notice)
(La) An equivalent intake system may be used and a check should be made to ascertain
that the intake pressure does not differ by mare than 100 Pa from the upper limit
specified by the manufacturer.
(1b) An equivalent intake system may be used and a check should be made to ascertain
that the intake pressure does not differ by more than 100 Pa from the upper limit
specified by the manufacturer.
(3) The fuel feed pressure may be adjusted, if necessary and/or provided the pressure
is controlled by the devices outside of the engine, to reproduce the pressures according
the specified condition by the manufacturer.
(4) The description here should be applied fat diesel-gas, dual fuel engine, for
example.
(5) Cooling of the liquid may be produced by an external circuit, such that the
pressure at the pump inlet remain substantially the same as these of the engine cooling
system.
(6) If the cooling water temperature is controlled by the system outside of the engine,
the temperature should be set in the specified condition by the manufacturer.
(7) The charge air cooled engine shall be tested with charge air cooling. The pressure
end temperature of the charged air should be maintained within the range specified by the
manufacture at the measuring speed and power.
(10) The parent engine of the engine family may be tested installing the anti-pollution
devices as the standard production equipment. If it is tested so. no further check about
the anti-pollution devices required.
(11) The power for electrical or other starting systems shall be provided from the test
bench.
2. With regard to some explanation about NOx correction for humidity and temperature
In p.59 of the draft, Japan would propose the revised one in order to snake it more
comprehensive as follows.
b) for diesel engines with intermediate air coolers the following alternative equation
may be used:
In order to take the humidity in the charge air into account, the following
consideration is added.
